GinaBonita
I´m wondering if anyone would be able to recommend for me the best place to buy almonds (the least expensive place). They seem ridiculously overpriced in all the supermarkets. El Mercado?
lucybelle
I think almonds are pretty expensive in the USA too!
Epicatt2
The best value I've found was at PriceSmart. I found a large bag of them at the PS here in Alajuela. I also bought a large bag of whole pecans there. And no, neither one was cheap but it was a better price than in those little bags at Mas X Menos or AltoMercado.. Tom and Marcia
I get my almonds and walnuts at Pricesmart, too. The pecans are almost $24 there so I get those in the US. I am talking about raw, natural nuts, not roasted and salted.

I was glad to find them plain at PriceSmart. Anyone see unseasoned, raw cashews available in a larger bag? I'm wondering if they stock those at Mayca... Cheers!
