The Birding Club of Costa Rica invites those who would like to learn about birds, binoculars and birding, to an introductory session, Saturday, June 9th at Finca Caballo Loco, el Rodeo, close to the University for Peace, near Ciudad Colon.

We will gather for coffee and muffins at 6am and the course will start at 6:30am.

The course will be conducted by Patrick O’Donnell, member of the Club and birding guide for many years in the USA and Costa Rica. Members of the Club will then work with you as you practice watching the toucans, trogons, and other tropical bird species that live at the finca.

Club members Krysia Peterson and Victor Perez, owners of the horse farm, have invited us for a gourmet breakfast after our birding. We will then discuss last years’ trips and ideas for next year, during our informal, annual planning meeting. Guests are very welcome to attend.

Cost for the course and breakfast - $20.00.

Bring a notepad, binoculars and good walking shoes or boots.

Please reserve with Lyn Statten by June 1, 2012 at lynfred@racsa.co.cr and directions will be sent to you.

If you would like to join the Club the annual fees are $10.00 per person or $15.00 per couple, payable at the course, or by contacting Lyn
