Tom and Marcia
My cats brought another lizard into the house today and I managed to rescue it before they ate it. This is the second time that I grabbed one by the tail and the tail separated. I knew that happens and that the tail will grow back. What surprised me both times is that the tail continues to wave for about a minute. A separated tail wagging in your hand is kind of strange and I don't fully understand how the muscles work without a brain. T
DanaJ
The tail muscles have a residual nerve impulse. This is so that cat plays with the tail while the lizard crawls off.
