KnoxKenshi
Hello everyone, I am a single man, 33, looking to come down to Costa Rica for a month or 2 in january or february and was wondering if any apartments in San Jose rent by the month. I have a budget of around $2,500/mo. I am wanting either a 1 BR or 1 BA or 2 BR 1 BA. I have 5 years of spanish classes and speak it for my current occupation (Rent-to-own financing in a hispanic community) I have been to Costa Rica before. My mother and her parents also lived in Turialba for three years as my grandfather worked for the UN and had a phd in dairy science. Any advice is appreciated on finding a place for the short term. sectorbets
If you are saying $2500 per month for an apartment, you will be pleasantly surprised that you can find terrific accommodations well below that, and month to month shouldn't be a problem at all. While you can probably do better locally after you get here, take a look at at craigs list to get an idea of what is available targeted at gringos. eleanorcr
Also check the Tico Times, AM Costa Rica, and La Nacion online newspapers. You might also look at VRBO - mostly houses, but often condos and sometimes apartments.
costaricafinca
Suggest you use a hotel or a B&B's for a few days, while you actually see what is out there, for you, before you commit to anything.
