ron h
I currently live in the U.S. and getting ready to move to CR. I love to shoot my compound bow for sport and fun. Does anybody know or had any experience in bringing in your compound bow and arrows? I know I can check it as a bag on the airline but do not know what will happen when it shows up in San Jose Airport. If bringing it in is a problem can you buy them there and is that a big hassle like a gun or even able to get?
HamburgO
Not entirely sure, but I plan to bring my take-down longbow and arrows next time I come. Armeria Serengeti in Escazu (Trejos Montealegre) sells compound and recurve bows & accessories. I put the prices at about 2x US, and the selection is limited. Manuel Farrer is the man in charge of archery at Serengeti. Spanish only, phone is +506 2289 8855, email: ventas@sportsplus.cr His biz card also points to this website: http://www.juanjwedelarcherycenter.com. Have not been, but looks as though it's co-managed by an American. Maybe easier to get some info through him... Good luck!
