Laura K Posted February 10, 2010 Report Share Posted February 10, 2010 Does anyone know anything about the Autism Parents' Association of Costa Rica? This association is in San Jose. One doctor very active in this group is Dr. Patricia Jimenez Gonzalez (PJG). She is Chief of the inpatient Neurodevelopmental Unit at the HNN and and has an extensive private practice. She works at this hospital: Hospital Nacional de Niños. The HNN has an inpatient Neurodevelopmental Unit and recently added a small special education school providing services for children with mental retardation (MR) and developmental delay but not specifically autism. I ask because my son, who will turn eight next month, has Autism. He is very high functioning. As far as I know, there is no website for this Association. We will be in Costa Rica two months a year.
