BillyB
Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has information on life insurance policies in Costa Rica? And what is the process? I'm 67. Thanks, Bill
Rosa
Bill, Have you tried your local INS agent? Before we received our Cedula, and signed up for CAJA, we had our medical insurance which included life insurance through INS - so perhaps they offer straight life insurance? Worth a try? BillyB
Thank you for your reply Yes I have talked with someone from INS. It requires a complete fiscal exam and could take moths to get the results. And the cost was something around $100 a month. There are other company's here in Costa Rica but they do not offer life insurance.
Rosa
We did not need a medical exam for the type of policy we got. Maybe a person to person INS visit in your town would be helpful? Then you won't be speaking to a salesman on the phone. Good luck with that.
