Just read in AMCR that BNCR has begun restricting the amount we expats can withdraw from the BN's ATMs. As of now we can only withdraw a maximum of ¢50,000 (about US$94) per transaction, using a foreign debit card -with a maximum of four (4) transactions per day. Wow, that is going to put a big squeeze om many resident expats and also on a lot of tourists! The article, "Banco Nacional restricts ATM use", went on to say that folks who have a BN debit card can withdraw up to ¢700,000 (about US$1,300) per day from their local BN account. Things just get curiouser and curiouser. ¡Pura Greeda! Paul M. ==
