  1. This is a great little article about the fees associated with applying for residency, some of which can be confusing or shocking to people. At the end, it also reminds people to remember the fees associated with translations, etc. http://qcostarica.com/costa-rica-permanent-residency-fees-explained/ The title is misleading, however, because it's not "permanent residency" but "temporary residency," the first step to permanent residency.
